Alaska Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist Opportunity

The Tanana Chiefs Conference Behavioral Health Clinic in Fairbanks, Alaska is now hiring for a board certified Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to provide direct clinical services including psychiatric assessment, advanced health evaluations, psychotherapy and medication prescriptions, primarily in an outpatient setting. Candidates must embody respect, humility and cultural sensitivity.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.
  • Fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Current DEA license with the authority to prescribe and dispense legal drugs and schedule 2-5 controlled substances in accordance with applicable state and federal laws.
  • State of Alaska license and Board certified or Board eligible as a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist.
  • Three years’ experience in a behavioral health clinic or hospital providing services with one year post residency experience.
  • Three years’ experience with DSM IV diagnosis, treatment coordination, planning, and follow up, crisis intervention, consultation and coordination with medical staff, other agencies and providers, routine charting and writing professional reports.
  • Three years of clinical supervision experience.
  • Previous clinical experience in a tribal health or cross-cultural setting preferred.

Salary DOE $265K to $310K range
