In a Developing Academic Setting: Job Security & No Productivity Pressures

Alaska Psychiatric Institute/Alaska Recovery Center is an 80-bed inpatient psychiatric care facility and is Alaska’s only involuntary inpatient hospital.  API/ARC builds the foundation to Recovery via a bio-psycho-social model of health care.  Multidisciplinary teams work collaboratively to provide a safe environment, encouraging the patient to participate in decisions regarding his/her care, as well as assisting with the coordination and establishment of a “medical home” after discharge.  API/ARC is home to Frontline Tele-behavioral Health.  Frontline TBH provides psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis and medication recommendations to areas throughout Alaska.  Through Frontline TBH, remote and rural locations, often without dedicated Behavioral Health services, have access to a doctoral level psychologist, credentialed psychiatrist and advanced nurse practitioner with specialized training.  This clinic is on the forefront of expanding Behavioral Health Integration in primary care settings.

The following position is currently under recruitment:
