Brief Summary:

Provide a wide range of health care services to neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and

geriatric patients in accordance with the ethics and code of the American Medical Association

and regulations promulgated by the Alaska State Medical Board.

Qualifications:

1. State Of Alaska license to practice medicine as a Doctor of Medicine (M.D) or Doctor of

Osteopathy (D.O).

2. Minimum of three (3) years residency with board eligibility, board certification preferred.

3. Current DEA.

4. Current BLS ACLS, PALS, and NRP Certification.

5. ATLS, ALSO certification preferred.

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to provide primary care and treatment to patients of all

age groups with widely divergent medical problems.

Requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to provide care and treatment to patients of all ages in

need of emergent care due to trauma or life-threatening conditions.

Anchorage, Alaska, The Children’s Hospital at Providence (TCHAP) has an immediate opening for a BE/BC Pediatric Neurologist to join our care team in beautiful Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city. Flexible practice model, with option to join a private practice with privileges in our facility, or be employed directly by Providence. Excellent compensation package in either scenario.

About the Providence Facility

The Children’s Hospital at Providence (TCHAP), part of Providence Alaska Medical Center, is the only comprehensive Children’s Hospital in Alaska, with a 9-bed PICU, 20-bed Med/Surg unit, and 47-bed NICU. There are more than 2,000 Pediatric/PICU admissions and 2,500 deliveries per year. TCHAP is a Member of the National Association of Children’s Hospitals and Related Institutions (NACHRI) and embraces best practice Family-Centered Care Philosophy. We offer advanced subspecialty care and research, including a genetics collaborative and centers of excellence in children’s cancer, diabetes, cystic fibrosis and special needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

(CIRI), and Alaska Natives and American Indians within SCF’s geographical service area.  Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of the CIRI members, and of the general culture and needs of Alaska Natives and American Indians.  Such knowledge is critical in order to ensure the achievement of the mission and vision of SCF: working together with the Native community to provide the best services with Native staff who value the family and family wellness as the heart of the Native community.

  1. M.D. or D.O degree required.
  2. Current Alaska license.
  3. Current American Board Certification specialty appropriate for the service.
  4. Meets all requirements in order to obtain medical staff membership and required privileges of service.
  5. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and any certification relating to the scope of practice are required.
