Alaska Medical Director, Metlakatla, Alaska

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Medical Director is a senior level administrative / clinical position with
responsibility for all clinical services at Annette Island Service Unit. This
responsibility includes participation in all aspects of health care delivery
including planning, resource allocation, growth and development, regulatory
compliance, quality, efficiency and the recruitment and supervision of
medical staff. This is a full time position with a flexible balance of clinical and
administrative duties targeting an approximate time ratio of 20%
administrative and 80% clinical. The Medical Director reports directly to the
Service Unit Director.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in a primary care specialty, or as
approved by the Service Unit Director / HEW
• Licensed or license eligible by the State of Alaska
• Must obtain and maintain an unrestricted license to practice in Alaska
within 6 months of hire
• Proven ability in clinical practice
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to follow projects through to completion
• Ability to build consensus and work in a team setting
• Strong conflict management, negotiation and persuasion skills,
professional demeanor, attitude, and motivation

Annual salary: $240,000
Annual leave: 6 weeks
Annual paid CME: 1 week
